East Asian Community Genetic Kit
Cannalogix Foundation is proud to bring to its members (new and old) the East Asian Community Genetic Kit. The East Asian Community Genetic Kit uses DNA to look at several factors to determine a person’s predisposition to disease and health risks associated with their East Asian Communities. We are proud to be a part of this research and will be updating you more as technology advances.
East Asian children are 10 to 20 times more likely to develop Kawasaki disease, with underlying genetic susceptibility identified in several populations. Additionally, several other diseases have been observed to be predominant within the East Asian Community.
Type-2 diabetes is now reaching epidemic proportions in East Asia. It is estimated that around 113.9 million individuals are diabetic in China, corresponding to roughly 12 percent of the population.
‘s East Asian Community Kit is designed to assess your and your family’s genetic risk for several diseases including Alpha-thalassemia, Kawasaki disease, Van der Woude syndrome, 3/ 2-methylbutyryl-CoA dehydrogenase deficiency, Citrullinemia, SLC4A1-associated distal renal tubular acidosis along with the genetic risk for diabetes.
